A national board of directors sets direction; senior executives and clinical leaders bring decades of experience across care delivery, data, policy and research; and community boards in seven states, along with our ESRD Network boards, keep decisions anchored to the people and places our work affects. Together they hold Comagine Health to the same standard we bring to every engagement — evidence over assumption, partnership over prescription.

The Comagine Health board of directors consists of up to 15 individuals. Directors are appointed for three-year terms and are generally limited to two terms, or six years of consecutive service. For continuity, the board may allow a third three-year term for up to three members. Board members may not exceed nine consecutive years of service, except in unusual situations such as leadership continuity. This limit excludes ex officio members.
Board members do not receive compensation for their service. Travel expenses are paid when members attend in-person activities.
New board members are nominated and appointed as needed to fill vacancies. Appointments are recommended by the Governance Committee and approved by the full board, and are staggered to coincide with the term end dates of existing members. Because terms run two three-year cycles, there may be up to three board replacements in a given year, excluding unplanned vacancies.
